In Lagos Late policeman dismissed, family forfeits N1.5m entitlement over death of twins

A panel set up by the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, to investigate the killings, decided on the posthumous dismissal of Sergeant James.
The Lagos State Police Command has reportedly announced the posthumous dismissal of the policeman who was reported to have shot and killed twin brothers and a friend before turning the gun on himself at a hotel in Lagos last week.
According to a report by Punch Newspaper, the police officer, identified as Sergeant James shot the three male dead outside the premises of Paulson hotel in Ketu area of Lagos State.
It was further gathered that the deceased twin brothers were identified as Taiwo and Kehinde Oyesunle and their friend known simply as Jeje.
Daily Post reports that the family of the deceased police officer stand to forfeit his N1.5m entitlement which he was entitled to for his 15 years of service in the force which had allowed him to attain the rank of a Sergeant.

The panel is reported to have also revealed that the policeman had been on illegal duty at the hotel where the saddening incident took place, as he had been originally sent to guard a bank.
The State police command PPRO, Joe Offor, has reportedly confirmed the dismissal of Sergeant James to newsmen on Wednesday, December 30.
